Worrying brings anxiety,
Yet resting brings peace.
Worrying brings tension,
That only resting will release.
Worrying is not trusting,
In the Saviour's careful plan,
It's restlessly thrashing 'round;
Not resting in His hand.
To rest is to surrender,
Your will to His above.
And although dangers threaten,
To bask in God's great love!
And so when fears assail,
Commit them to His care;
You can't dispel them by yourself,
And they are safest there.
Friend, rather than worrying,
With a big frown on your face,
Let God take your burden,
And put a smile in it's place.
Joy will fill your heart again,
Worries will cease to pull,
Resting will come naturally,
If you give the King control!
So true! The poem was a blessing to me this morning. ;) thank you <3

Beautiful poetry. Awesome reminder. I'm guessing Kristen is the poet?? ~ Aunt Ellen
ReplyDeleteKatie wrote the poem. :) She is pretty good at thinking up poems, and has a little book that she keeps them in.
ReplyDeleteI (Kristen) am definitely not good at poetry. Every time I try, I mess it all up. :D
Hope you have a nice day!
love, Kristen
