On Our Way!

  The big day has arrived! It has been so hard to believe! Even with all the packing, and getting ready, I don't think any one of us has fully comprehended that we are going on furlough! The Lord has answered SO many prayers concerning this furlough! We wrote out a long list of things to pray about, and the Lord has answered them all in His timing!



 We had been packing little by little, and everyone had 'TO DO -' lists, 'TO BUY-' lists, and 'TO TAKE-' lists.

              

   

  Dad and Mom were amazing with how they had everything planned. Mom planned the menu so that we wouldn't have any 'food' garbage that couldn't be thrown in the compost after Tuesday morning when Dad would go to the dump with all the trash.
  On Monday night we had the suitcases almost totally ready,
and so yesterday (Tuesday) was mainly our cleaning day. Last night Kristen was bored, and said she had NOTHING to do! So, she made supper. :) The Suganos stopped by to say goodbye.

After supper it was nice because we were all ready except the final little things to put in our carry-ons, so we watched a video!

This morning after breakfast and devotions, Mom and Rachel went to get some onigiri, drinks, and rolls for lunch, and we finished shutting things down here.

Keiko came to see us off. It was so sweet of her, and when we left it was so sad leaving her standing there by herself waving as we drove off. It made us cry. :(

Mr. Nishio came with a 28 passenger bus this morning to pick us up and all of our luggage. This is the third time Mr. Nishio has driven a family and their luggage to the airport. The Minks family, the Wilhites, and now us! It was a big blessing! Bro. Minks came along, and so did Victoria and Abigail. (Kristen and I especially were happy the girls came!) We girls sat together and talked and laughed a lot. It was fun, and special.

 Rachel and Dad were in the van until we got to the Nishio's car shop where the car will be staying. :) On the way they stopped at a farmer's house who we've known for years to give them a John and Romans, and say goodbye.

Next we stopped at the Minks' house and said goodbye to Mrs. Minks and the boys. :(

After that it was full speed ahead to Chitose!

The Lord provided good weather, and a safe trip all the way.
Once there, all our luggage was unloaded and then we had to say goodbye to Mr. Nishio, Bro. Minks, and the girls. :(

I'm really going to miss these girls!! They are very special friends!!

Next we went and checked into the airport hotel. We just spent the rest of the afternoon walking around, resting, etc. and we girls went to try some gelato ice cream. Some friends of ours just went on a trip to Italy, and they said the gelato ice cream was REALLY good. So we tried it!

This was mine, I had apple pie, caramel macchiato, and berry yogurt flavors. It was good, but in all honesty, I think Baskin Robbins is a lot better. ;) 

 Our hotel room is very nice, and we're heading to bed early because tomorrow will have to start early, and will be a very long day!
