Our room has been a very bright yellow since 2006, and we've wanted to change the color for quite a while. :) (We got permission from Ann since it's her room too.)
McDonalds had these hibiscus and palm tree wall-stickers up for a while, and when they took them down, they let Kristen and me have them.
We liked having these stickers on the walls, because it seemed to make the room a little different, and not seem quite so YELLOW!!
Kristen and I knew we wanted something different, but we couldn't decide what color we wanted. But we had this huge bucket of leftover paint under the stairs, and Mom said we should use it to cover up the yellow until we decide what color we actually want. If we just leave the paint while we are on furlough it will freeze, and then it will be no good.
So, two Wednesdays ago Kristen and I put our beds on top of each other and moved the dresser and desk and things into the middle of our room and taped the ceiling and window, etc.
On Thursday night Mom and Kristen painted all the corners and edges and then on Friday afternoon, Kristen and I covered up the mustard yellow!!! :P Yeah!!!!!
Now its a very sensible, nice, subdued beige. It looks HEAPS better!!
Kristen got these cute light switch covers, and got a garbage can that matched our room rather than the bright orange one with the big eyes that we had before! (Big improvement, BTW!!)

Don't you agree it's WAY better? ;) We're really happy with how it turned out! Now Kristen says we have to paint our bedsteads white or something next. :)
