Emilie's Home!

    Hi Everybody! Sorry its been so long! The blog is fixed now, (there wasn't anything seriously wrong with it, just some settings needed to be changed, and I'm not super smart when it comes to computers, so I had a friend help me. :)  )
    So, yes, Emilie is home! We went to get her on May 16th. Her plane was originally supposed to come in on the 15th, and we were going to go down and get her around 8:30 pm on the 15th, but her plane from Dallas to Narita was 2 hours delayed, so she didn't make it to her plane from Narita to our island. But the Lord knew, and worked it out just right. We all had taken work off for Friday and Saturday too, because we knew Friday was going to be a long day.
     On Friday Kristen had a violin lesson in Asahikawa (a city about 2 hrs. south of us) and then we were going to have lunch with a lady and her kids who used to live in Nayoro. She is very open to the gospel, and has been thinking a lot, and asking a lot of questions. It's exciting! We got to have lunch with them after Kristen's lesson, and because we weren't able to get Emilie that day, we were able to spend a lot more time there, and had some really good talks about God, the Bible, and Creation!
     After leaving there, we did some shopping, came home, and did our Saturday cleaning so we wouldn't have to the next day. :) Emilie made it safely to Narita, and then had to spend the night. It was nice though, she could get some rest, and then get on a morning flight.
      I woke up at 4:30 Saturday morning. We were all excited. It's more fun to get someone at the airport in the morning, otherwise, you pick them up at night, and then its another  4-5 hours before you get home. This was at a rest stop on the way.

   We got to the airport, Daddy dropped us all off, and went to park the car, we went to wait for her, and  right away she came to get her suitcases. She came out and of course, there were hugs all around. It was SO nice to have her back! We all wished Ann could have come too, but this year, the Lord has work for her at college.
   Then before we left the airport, there was one more thing we wanted to do.

   Last year, when we took Mama and Emilie to the airport, we got to have fun with the 3-D Wall Art. But we wanted Emilie to be able to try it too, so that's where we went.

I have no idea who did the paintings, but they did an AMAZING job! 

All of these pictures are just with a flat wall! It feels pretty funny to pose for these pictures!

They did such a good job with all the shadows and everything!

Emilie had fun doing a little bit too. Isn't he cute!

 This was really hard! I wanted to try to make it look a little more real than last year, but it's SUPER hard to wall sit, with your legs crossed, and with heels on! It was fun to try it though. :) 

This one is funny. :) The wood floor gives it away. ;) 

       I felt really silly doing this one! When there's actually nothing to put your foot on, and you stand there posing for a picture with your leg up like that, and then a group of people walk by, you feel really silly!

 I like this one so much! :)

   After that we went to Costco, got some groceries for us and another family, and some super yummy pizza for lunch.

    It has been so nice having Emilie home! We've all enjoyed looking at her pictures, and hearing lots of stories of live at BCM. :) It has been a blessing having her home, and I'm so glad the Lord allowed it. She is teaching her English classes again, and is working a lot at McDonalds. 

    We get to have Emilie with us until the end of August, so we're enjoying all the time we get. :)
